Borage is an annual plant, native to the Mediterranean areas, with beautiful blue star-shaped flowers. It makes an excellent companion plant to cabbage, squash, tomatoes and strawberry by repealing snails, worms, increasing resistance to pests and adding minerals to the soil. Also known as star-flower, the flowers of Borage are edible and can be added to salads, desserts and drinks. Borage Seeds and the oil extracted from the seeds have anti-inflammatory properties and have long history of medicinal use.
