Directions to use: One dose every 3 hours initially and after each loose stool. Then 2-3 times daily once improvement has set in. A dose is 3 to 5 pilules. Reduce dosing as symptoms subside.
For optimal results pilules should be absorbed through the mucous membranes of the mouth. Gently pull back the cheek (labial pouch) and place pilules inside.
If direct dosing is not possible, crush pilules between two plastic spoons. Mix with  small amount of water and administer using a syringe or gently pour into the mouth for rapid absorption through the buccal lining.
Alternative methods: Mix with a small treat: cats may accept pilules more readily blended with yoghurt or milk. Dogs and horses often enjoy the taste of the sugar-based pellets.
Pilules can also be dissolved in drinking water (preferably in a plastic bowl). As a last resort, mix with food or feed.
