Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) is an organo-sulfur compound with the formula (CH3)2SO. This by-product of the paper-making process is a colourless liquid and strong garlic taste that gained attention for its ability to penetrate skin and other biological membranes. DMSO could be used as a ‘transportation device’ to pass small molecules through skin. DMSO has been recommended to decrease pain, speed the healing of wounds & burns, muscle and skeletal injuries, tooth and gum inflammations. It can be applied topically to treat headache, inflammations, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and to slow down effects of heart attack and strokes.

Directions to use:
Internal use: Starting with one drop of DMSO added to water and then working up to a comfortable dose.
Topical applications: First do a small test patch to check for possible reaction. Applying DMSO directly to skin may feel tingly or even slightly burning for a short while. DMSO can be added to a neutral carrier oil such as Organic Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil to avoid unpleasant sensations. DMSO can also be added to Colloidal Silver Gels and creams.
Important note: DMSO must always be applied to a clean skin which is allowed to dry before covering with clothing or wrappings.
The DMSO is a ‘carrier’ or ‘transporter’, so it will take into the body whatever is on the skin.
Thus DMSO also assists topical products to penetrate the skin efficiently
