Crede Flax flour is made by milling the de-fatted cake produced in the manufacture of cold-pressed flax seed oil. The milled flour is sorted to ensure that only the finest flaxeed flour is packaged. Flaxseed flour is rich in fibre and protein, and is a great source of Omega 3 essential fatty acids. It has become popular as a wheat flour substitute in gluten free and low GI baking. It can also be used as an egg substitute as a binding agent in baking and cooking. This 100% natural and gluten free flour is suitable for vegan recipes too. Directions to use: As a flour replacement: substitute 15% to 30% of the flour with flax flour in the recipe.
As an egg replacement: to substitute 1 egg mix 1 tablespoon of flax flour with 3 tablespoons water and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes before using. Note: Adequate liquid must be taken when consuming flax seed products due to its high fibre content.
