About Green Matcha:
The first records of Matcha use are from the 12th century AD in Japan.
Matcha powder is made from the green tea leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. During the last 3 weeks before harvest, the plants are covered in shaded canopies which causes the leaves to produce tremendous amounts of chlorophyll and amino-acids that give them the vibrant green colour.
The process of making Matcha starts with hand-picking the best leaves, which are carefully dried and de-veined before stone-grounding them into a delicate fine powder.
Since Matcha is made from the whole leaves, it provides more nutrients and higher health benefits than regular green tea. Drinking Matcha tea provides 137 times more antioxidants and 10 times more nutritional content than a regular cup of green tea.
