Spearmint Essential Oil is extracted via steam distillation of the leaves of Mentha spicata plant. It has a refreshing minty aroma and uplifting and refreshing properties. The oil can be used in diffusers, topically mixed with a carrier oil for massages and compresses or in bath soaks and room sprays. It may also be taken internally for treating digestive discomfort and to reduce upset stomach.
Escentia Spearmint Essential Oil is 100% pure and undiluted. The oil blends well with other essential oils such as Lavender, Orange, Lemon, Eucalyptus and Jasmine.

Both oils are extracted by steam distillation of the corresponding plants’ leaves and flowering tops, Spearmint from Mentha spicata while Peppermint from Mentha piperita plant.
Spearmint is a milder oil with sweeter aroma and contains Carvone, a monoterpene, which contributes to the oil energising and uplifting properties.
Peppermint contains Menthol and Menthyl acetate and has brighter and cleaner aroma.
