Sugar Beans (also called Red Speckled Beans) have a high content of soluble fibre, which absorbs water in the stomach forming a gel that slows down the absorption of the beans carbohydrates. They are a great plant source of proteins and are perfect food for vegetarians and vegans. Sugar beans have a mild flavour and are commonly added to curries, stews and casseroles.

Directions to use: Sugar Beans (and other beans) need to be cooked prior to adding to salads, wraps, casseroles or curries. They can be soak overnight prior to cooking to shorten cooking time. Or can be cooked by slowly simmering for 1-2hour or until fully cooked and soft.
