Viola (Viola Cornuta) also known as horned viola or Tufted Violet. Native to the Pyrenees and it can change your mood in a positive way with its seductive fragrance. The horned violet, refers to the long, thin upward pointing nectar spur. The young leaves and flowerbuds are edible both raw and cooked. Tea can be made from the folige. Salicylic acid, one of its ingredients, is found in the fresh parts of the plant – Acts as a disinfectant and tissue solvent, which can be applied on the skin texture to soften the hard skin and warts.
