Did you know?
Although Apogen® is produced from blue-green algae, it is not the same as Spirulina. It would take approximately 450 tablets of Spirulina to make one serving of Apogen®. It does not kill viruses – instead it protects cells from viruses by creating a viral firewall that many viruses can’t cross. While Apogen® is not a medically-approved treatment for viral infections, it’s scientifically-demonstrated action helps support the body’s natural defences. In addition to various types of flu viruses, Apogen® has also been shown to inhibit a number of other viruses, such as enteroviruses, Dengue virus, rotavirus, EBV, Coxsackie, and various retroviruses.
ViralGen with Apogen® acts as a VIRAL FIREWALL by:
- Preventing viral penetration of cells
- Inhibiting viral replication
- Prevention and acute support of viral infections
- Upregulating the immune response to infection
- Upregulates glutathione synthesis
- Powerful antioxidant
- Cancer support (beneficial as additional support in cancer as it has been shown to induce apoptosis)
Apogen® is an orally-administered anti-viral agent, especially beneficial in the prevention and treatment of Enterovirus and influenza virus.
- Antiviral activity was more efficient in cultures treated with Apogen® before viral infection compared with cultures treated after infection.
- Apogen® was also able to delay viral RNA synthesis in the infected cells and to abate the apoptotic process in EV71-infected RD cells with evidence of characteristic DNA fragmentation, decreasing membrane damage and declining cell sub-G1 phase.
- Apogen® is an inhibitor of influenza A and B viruses, including strains of influenza viruses that may be resistant to available neuraminidase inhibitors. Apogen® is also capable of inhibiting the 2009 Pandemic Influenza A (H1N1) virus.
- Flu-infected mice were cured with Apogen® treatment.
- Prevention of flu is conducted by administrating Apogen® before influenza virus infection.
- Apogen® is an inhibitor of influenza A and B viruses, including strains of influenza viruses that may be resistant to available neuraminidase inhibitors.
- Apogen® is also capable of inhibiting 2009 Pandemic Influenza A (H1N1).
- Allophycocyanin (APC), one of the active ingredients in Apogen® has been shown to inhibit Enterovirus-induced apoptosis.
- Apogen® is Non-Toxic.
